In 2002, Austin’s Funeral Directors – which owns Harwood Park – set up Austin’s Charitable Fund to give back to the local community.
Each year, we choose a different charity to support and raise money via donations from our funeral service CD, Christmas carol concert and the generosity of bereaved families. As part of the charity fund-raising, we also donate a proportion of Austin’s annual profits.
Since we started the fund we’re delighted to have raised in excess of £100,000 for charities such as Cancer Hair Care, the North Herts Samaritans, Road Victims Trust, the Hertfordshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre and Stand-By-Me, which supports the young bereaved.
